The Jordi Gol Primary Care Research Institute (IDIAPJGol)

The Jordi Gol Primary Care Research Institute (IDIAPJGol) is the leading center for the study and promotion of health at the primary care level in Catalonia. With nearly 1,400 researchers, IDIAP works to drive and develop innovation, training, and clinical, epidemiological, and health services research within the Primary Care setting, with the goal of improving the healthcare system and people’s health.

IDIAPJGol is organized into Research Support Units (USRs) distributed across Catalonia. These units coordinate research groups and projects in each region, providing support to Primary Care professionals in carrying out their research.

Contribution to PANACEA

IDIAPJGol is involved in several tasks throughout the PANACEA lifecycle, from the design of practical workshops and educational materials to the preparation of all the protocols and recruitment.

Its main contribution will be supporting the harmonisation and implementation of the multicentre intervention in Spain, contributing to participant recruitment, standardized data collection, and monitoring of dietary and lifestyle outcomes throughout the study. IDIAPJGol will also participate in evaluating the interventions impact.
